A beloved local shop.
Facey’s Tin Shop held a vital place within the Twillingate community. Silas Facey began as an apprentice and eventually assumed ownership. The shop was known for its expertise in crafting indispensable household items, including bread pans and stove pipes. Its reputation reached far beyond Twillingate, with orders coming in from as distant as Labrador and St. John’s, underscoring the shop’s regional significance and skilled craftsmanship.
In a later chapter, the shop transformed into a hardware store under the ownership of Silas’s son, Edwin, continuing the family’s legacy of serving the community’s needs.
